Overview

This 3 day trip starts in Accra and travels north to Kintampo. Along the way, you’ll visit cultural sites in Kumasi like the Manhyia Palace Museum and the Kejetia Market.

You’ll also see the Okomfo Anokye Sword, a historical landmark. The main destination is Kintampo Waterfalls, where you can cool off with a swim. After enjoying the falls, the trip concludes with a return to Accra.

Itinerary

Day One
Day One Begin our trip from Accra to Kintampo.

We will explore the following sites on our trip to Kintampo waterfalls:

Manhyia Palace Museum- a cultural jewel situated within the ancient Manhyia Palace, the official palace of the Ashanti King, and offers visitors a rare opportunity to learn about the Ashanti people's customs, artifacts, and regal history.
Kejetia Market- a busy and colorful market filled with bustling crowds, lively chatter, and rich aromas of spices and street food. Visitors can find virtually anything at Kejetia Market, from fresh produce and spices to clothing, textiles, and crafts. It's a one-stop shopping destination for tourists to gain insights into the daily life, customs, and traditions of the people of Kumasi and Ghana.
Okomfo Anokye Sword Site- This sword, known as the "Okomfo Anokye Sword" or the "Sword in the Stone," is still lodged in the dirt in Kumasi and defies all attempts to remove it. The symbolism of this sword is firmly established in Ashanti history, and it is thought to represent the Ashanti Kingdom's unity, strength and permanence.
Day concludes with check in at Hotel.

Day Two
Visit Kintampo Waterfalls and immerse yourself in its cool waters.

Located on the Pumpum river, a tributary of the Black Volta, approximately 4 kilometers north of Kintampo municipality on the Kumasi–Tamale route, is Kintampo waterfalls.

One of Ghana's highest waterfalls. One of the primary natural attractions in the area, the waterfalls consist of three 3 big drops, the largest of which is 25 meters 82 feet high. The river then descends approximately 70 meters 230 feet after a series of steps and cascades.
